Were you thinking of entering something for #season2 but didn’t get around to it, or thought it was too late? Worry not, because now you have your chance!

Due to the overwhelming response, we’ve decided to extend the submission deadline to an outside date of February 15th, 2016. This will give teams more time to perfect their entries, complete any missing documentation, respond to safety/rule concerns, or submit a new/revised application in the case they are rejected. That said, it is very important to realize that the selection committee will begin making picks for Season 2 today, and continue to do so over the coming weeks. The sooner you submit your completed application, the sooner your entry can be reviewed by the selection committee. The February 15th deadline is an outside date—BattleBots will continue to accept applications for Season 2 until the all tournament spots are filled or February 15, 2016, whichever is earlier.
If you’ve already submitted your application, great, we’ll be reviewing it very soon. If you’d like to take a little more time to fine tune it, that’s okay, but be sure to submit as soon as possible before the Season 2 slots fill up.
But BattleBots, how can I ever enforce a lab checkoff deadline again? All my students will just go “But Battlebots gave everyone an extension!” DAMMIT, I FINISHED ON TIME THOUGH!
