Almost done with the drivetrain…

Some more searching through my pile of rubble revealed a 12mm Axle Spacer of Convenience. Drilled it to 10mm, and slammed it along with the pulley onto the motor shaft. Most of the drive mechanics are now complete. So theoretically, I can run a wheelspin test, except it probably won’t go too far – I don’t have batteries, a suitable controller, or anything else yet. Solid b33f

Yesterday, the new aluminum pulleys arrived. Today, I went here and had them turned and drilled to taste. The screeching cacophony of ripping, tearing metal reverberates through my tingling ears. It could have been solved with a dose of cutting fluid.

Another step in completion is now over with…well, mostly. The electrical system is going to be really expensive. Here are some pics!
